The Industrial Advisory Board of the Faculty of Computer Science was founded in 2013 with 6 companies. The aim of this cooperation is to further improve the attractiveness of the Computer Science programmes and to ensure the practical orientation, and thus the quality, of teaching. The companies in our Advisory Board meet the Computer Science students of our Faculty early on, making it easier for our highly qualified graduates to enter the job market later on.
The companies in the Industrial Advisory Board offer intership semester places, topics for semester projects and theses, and company visits. And in winter semester 2018/19 we introduced the student mentoring programme Mentor Me. The companies are also involved in the Faculty in various other ways. They award prizes for the best students in the foundation studies and for outstanding bachelor's graduates (Awards and prizes). A prize is also awarded every semester during the Computer Science Open Day for an outstanding, innovative semester project. Representatives of the various companies also participate regularly in the "Computer Science in practice" lecture series.
