Aaron Dietz, an electrical engineering student in his 5th semester, completed his internship semester at AGCO Fendt GmbH in Marktoberdorf in Allgäu. He is working in the area of automobile development on the topic of "Design and construction of an automated "hardware in the loop" testing system for the further development of controls in a modern Fendt tractor". During the internship semester he was also given the opportunity to take his tractor driving licence.

Mathematics and physics are fundamental to electrical engineering. The required basics will be revised and expanded during the foundation studies of the first two semesters.
To be successful in this course, you do not have to be especially good in these subjects, but by the end of the first semester you must be comfortable with calculating using numbers and units.
If you do not have the necessary academic qualifications in mathematics and physics, these can be gained by attending lectures or tutorials and students are expected to do so.
The Furtwangen degree programme is first-class, with a curriculum similar to that of a traditional university with the advantage of being a short course and of having seminar-type lectures.
