The Computer Science Lab is mainly used for practicals, including the "Programming" and "Computer Architecture" practicals. Fifteen workstations with the required standard software are available for these classes. AVR and ARM-Cortex-M3 toolchains are available for the programming of microprocessors. Windows or Linux are used, depending on requirements.
In addition, thesis work which requires a larger hardware assembly or special computer configurations can be carried out here.
The Computer Science Lab supports teaching in the areas of software development, installation and maintenance. Here it is possible to carry out particularly systems-related work which is normally not possible in the computer rooms of a central computer centre, or is not permitted there.
