The University Campus Tuttlingen is the home of the Faculty of Industrial Technologies. It produces engineers with a model which is quite unique in Germany. In cooperation with 100 companies, the Faculty trains specialists in Engineering psychology, Medical Engineering, Mechatronics, Digital Production and Materials Technology and Manufacturing in Tuttlingen, the technology hot-spot and world centre of medical technology. The Faculty offers 4 bachelor's degrees, 2 master's degrees, Mechatronic Systems and Applied Materials Sciences, and a Technical Orientation try-out semester. The programmes offered on the still relatively young campus in Tuttlingen are designed to meet the demands of regional and nationwide businesses.

Outstanding know-how for an excellent future

The goal of the University Campus Tuttlingen and its partners is to attract engineering students with its innovative approach, and equip graduates with outstanding know-how and excellent perspectives.

The courses offered are future-oriented

In 2018 and 2019 the bachelor's curricula were further developed. Future issues such as digitalization and technologization in business and society, research and development, new EU medical product regulations, smart materials and production, efficient, sustainable production, man-machine interaction, product design and quality  – to name only a few – are core elements of the courses. Many of the programmes are therefore interdisciplinary, offering students opportunities to specialize.

A model campus  – workplace-relevant, industry-appropriate and cutting-edge

The sponsors, the organization and the teaching are all part of the special character of the Tuttlingen Campus model. The degree programmes were developed hand-in-hand with industry. The financing and organization of the campus is carried out as a public and private partnership. Everyone profits from the so-called Public Private Partnership. It is a win-win situation for the local area, the University, for business and for students.
