Entry requirements
The admission criteria are:
- A bachelor's degree in a business-related subject with an above average grade point average
- Research skills, demonstrated by:
- a bachelor's thesis
- an alternative written thesis
- command of written and spoken English, demonstrated by
- an English-language course of study
- TOEFL (score >95), IELTS (score >7) or equivalent test

How do I apply?
We admit students once a year (in winter). The application phase for the winter semester 24/25 begins in December 2023.
You can apply via our Online application portal.
You must first register there.
The following documents must be uploaded during the application process
It is best to have them ready in advance:
- CV/resume
- Letter of motivation (professional and personal reasons for studying at HFU Business School)
- Academic transcripts
- Bachelor thesis or alternative written work
- TOEFL, IELTS or equivalent proof of English language proficiency
- APS (only applies to applicants from China, Vietnam and India)
These dates are important
Application deadline for winter semester 2024/25 (= start of lectures in October): 15 July, 2024
Application deadline for summer semester 2025 (start of lectures in March): 15 January, 2025
At the beginning of the coordination phase, an offer of admission for one of your applications may be made at any time due to the release of ranking lists and the withdrawal of other applicants. If there is more than one offer, the coordination regulations apply.
Coordinated clearing process: Study places that remain unfilled in the coordination phase are allocated in the coordinated clearing process. If you have not yet received admission during the coordination phase, hochschulstart will send you a link. Within a period of 72 hours, you can use this link to indicate your wish to participate in the coordinated clearing process for individual study programmes for which you have applied and have not withdrawn your application.
