Our interdisciplinary International Engineering programme covers several fields of expertise that will give you excellent career prospects. Besides gaining engineering and business know-how, you will also be trained in intercultural competence and languages! Our International Engineering graduates are modern, practical and globally minded engineers – who can achieve their career goals anywhere in the world.
Programme content and structure
The internationally oriented International Engineering degree programme offers you a unique combination of technology (specialising in mechanical engineering or medical technology), languages and business. We want you to gain as much practical and international experience as possible - giving you the best starting conditions for a successful international career!
Entry requirements
- German higher education entrance qualification:
- (general higher education entrance qualification, entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences, subject-specific higher education entrance qualification)
- or a foreign university entrance qualification equivalent to the German one.
- English language skills:
- International applicants: CEF B2, TOEFL iBT 72 points plus, IELTS 6.0, TOEIC 785, PTE 59, Cambridge English Scale minimum 160 points
The level is also deemed to have been achieved if proof of an English-language school-leaving qualification or an English-language course of study is provided.
- German applicants: The German university entrance qualification (Abitur / Fachhochschulreifezeugnis) is considered proof of your language skills.
- International applicants: CEF B2, TOEFL iBT 72 points plus, IELTS 6.0, TOEIC 785, PTE 59, Cambridge English Scale minimum 160 points
- German language skills:
No previous knowledge required
- Only for the Medical Engineering specialisation in the 3rd semester:
GER B2, DSH Level I, TestDaF Level 3, telc/Goethe/ÖSD B2, DSD II
- Language skills in your regional focus of choice:
- Francophone world: 2 school years /A2
- Hispanic world: 2 school years /A2
- China: no previous knowledge necessary
