Schwenningen Campus

Students walking in the courtyard on Schwenningen Campus

Campus, Community, City Centre

Our Schwenningen campus has a very special flair. Today, our lecture halls, laboratories and learning areas are located in the buildings of the historic Kienzle watch factory. The converted industrial buildings combined with ultra-modern structures create an exciting architectural mix. The bright, modern library offers quiet areas for concentrated work, large group tables − and of course a huge selection of media.

The Cooperative State University, located adjacent to the HFU campus, shares the modern cafeteria and canteen where students and staff are well catered to.

Our campus is located right next to the train station and just a few steps away from the lively pedestrian zone with its stores, cafés and restaurants. There are many green areas nearby where you can relax and play beach volleyball, for example. Neckarpark, a beautifully landscaped park along the Neckar river, is just a few minutes' walk from the campus.

The town of Schwenningen

Villingen-Schwenningen is a city with two faces − while Villingen exudes Black Forest charm with its medieval old town, Schwenningen is modern and industrial − the perfect combination of tradition and inspiration.

Like the idea of strong career prospects? The regional centre is home to many well-known companies from the IT, mechanical engineering and automotive sectors, among others − a region that thinks ahead. Sports fans get their money's worth here with an ice rink and ice hockey club. The twin city is a hotspot with three universities and a correspondingly young and diverse community.
