Ultimate Black Forest flair
Furtwangen Campus is the heart of HFU. Our largest and most traditional campus is spread over several buildings and defines the cityscape − from the historic school building to the former hospital, from the representative main building including the clock museum to the ultra-modern media building.
The large green spaces invite you to relax and will soon be redesigned for other leisure activities. There are special study areas in the buildings. Many events are held in the auditorium − from award ceremonies and specialist congresses, to theatre performances − and there are regular parties in the “old café”.
The campus is surrounded by spectacular Black Forest countryside − scenic views as far as the eye can see!
The town of Furtwangen
The highest town in Baden-Württemberg, the highest level of relaxation. Furtwangen is situated in the middle of the Black Forest − between tradition and modernity. Where once the art of clockmaking was developed, today HFU shapes the cityscape with its modern university buildings and colourful community.
Surrounded by forests, mountains and clear air, Furtwangen offers perfect natural experiences. Add to that the low cost of living, and the fact that it is a town where life slows down without being boring. Here you'll find more than just a place to study − it's a small oasis that lets you breathe freedom. External link opens in a new window:Find out more about Furtwangen.
