Special requirements for foreign nationals
Foreign applicants with foreign qualifications must obtain certificate recognition from the Certificate Evaluation Office of the Center for International Students of the Universities of Applied Sciences in Baden-Württemberg (Studienkolleg Konstanz).
German nationals with foreign qualifications, on the other hand, must have their certificates recognised as university entrance qualification by the Regional Council in Stuttgart (Regierungspräsidium Stuttgart).
Applications to Furtwangen University can be submitted even before recognition is complete; however, admission is only possible once the recognised certificate has been submitted.
Applicants with an APS certificate (China, India, Vietnam) and foreign nationals who already hold German university entrance qualifications are exempt from the certificate recognition requirement and can proceed directly with their application.
