We open new opportunities for our students

If you study at HFU, you can gain valuable experience abroad.

Want to go abroad?

For our enrolled students, there are various options available:

Spend a semester abroad
You can do this through a study abroad semester at one of our External link opens in a new window:HFU partner universities. This can be done as a "Free Mover" or through an existing partnership.

HFU students will be supported throughout by our International Center and advised individually. Many of the partner universities are located in other countries – you can find them in the DAAD database.

Do your internship and/or thesis abroad
Not only can you spend a semester studying abroad, but your internship semester is also a great opportunity to gain experience abroad. Almost all of our bachelor's programmes include a practical semester as a mandatory internship. The semester in which this takes place is determined individually for each programme.

You can also write your thesis abroad – we'll show you the options available.

Information and funding opportunities
Our International Center provides information sessions every semester for HFU students interested in going abroad. These also cover financial support options such as BAföG for studying abroad, DAAD scholarships, Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM or Internal link opens in the same window:Erasmus+ funding.

Enrolled students can find many more details and further information on our learning platform FELIX.
