Programme content and structure

Studying in Tuttlingen means studying in the world centre of medical technology! Here you benefit from our close cooperation with well-known, internationally active companies and their expertise. Lectures are held by experts from industry and business – studying couldn't be more practical!

Broad range of subjects

With MDM, we provide you with key qualifications for an international career. The range of subjects extends from business fundamentals and marketing for national and international markets to economics, business law, medical device law and patent law.

Intercultural orientation

We also train you in intercultural communication and leadership skills. We train your soft skills in international finance, project management and business management, negotiation skills and international management – you will learn to solve problems according to the situation!

Your MBA thesis

After three semesters, you'lll complete your MDM degree with your master's thesis. You'll write your thesis on a topic of your choice, often in collaboration with a company in Germany or abroad. You can also rely on close supervision during this challenging phase!

Entry requirements

To be able to study our MBA master's programme, you must have completed a first degree, for example in engineering, natural sciences, medicine or business administration. You need proof of your language skills (CEFR B2 level or TOEFL (iBT Total Score 72-94/120)) and at least two years of professional experience. You will also have an entrance interview.

What's included

Special features

Tuition fees for the Medical Devices & Healthcare Management MBA amount to €18,000. This sum is payable in four semi-annual installments. Study materials are included. Additional costs are incurred for travel, accommodation and living expenses.

Faculty of Industrial Technologies

The Faculty of Industrial Technologies on the Tuttlingen Campus is something very special. At HFU, all subject areas are taught with a lot of practical relevance– but on the Tuttlingen Campus, students benefit from a special proximity to companies in the region. The focus here is on cooperation with industry in many practicals, students are allowed to work in company labs and can thus also make important contacts for their future careers. At "ITE", we focus our degree programmes on current topics of the future – digitalisation and technologisation, smart materials, medical technology, the energy transition, sustainability and human-machine interaction are just some of the exciting topics that we are helping to shape the future with.
