HFU Business School students host annual “International Festival”

Last week HFU Business School students once more hosted the “International Festival” on the Schwenningen Campus of Furtwangen University (HFU). The annual festival was organised by a dedicated student project group led by students Alvina Khan, Lara Vidal, Rumeysa Ordu, Leonie Bieger, Caroline Müller and Veronika Kuliak, all International Business students.

The event is a living testimony to the internationality of the university. HFU Business School is known for its cultural diversity, and this is reflected in the International Festival with students from over 50 countries taking part. Every year the event shows just how international and multifaceted student life is on campus in Schwenningen. The festival offered a wide range of cultural performances and culinary delights – from folklore songs to rousing big band interludes, the musical contributions offered a journey around the world. The numerous food stalls presented delicious, home-made traditional dishes that transported visitors to the culinary worlds of the various countries.

Highlights of the evening included a fashion show of traditional costumes as well as impressive dance performances ranging from K-Pop and Dabke to Bollywood. Over 100 students and performers contributed to a varied programme that delighted the audience. Both university staff and students and guests mingled at the public event and enjoyed a colourful evening in an international atmosphere with delicious food and fascinating performances.
