Last week, the students of the Executive MBA program of the HFU Business School completed a stay abroad at the renowned Spanish University of Málaga.
Accompanied by Prof. Dr. Rütger Conzelmann, the students were faced with the task of managing a company as successfully as possible in a business game, holding their own against competitors in the market. For this purpose, five international teams were formed from the Schwenningen Executive MBA group and the students from the Universidad de Málaga, who competed against each other to make the right decisions based on economic data provided. The aim was to develop a suitable strategy, interpret key figures correctly and develop a good team spirit.
In addition to the academic program, the students also had the opportunity to visit the Andalusian port city, including the birthplace of Pablo Picasso, probably the city's most famous son. Also on the program was a visit to the world-famous Alhambra in Granada, one of the most popular tourist attractions in Europe and a world heritage site since 1984. A visit to a flamenco show and a boat trip at sunset also made the stay an unforgettable experience.
During their visit, the students were impressed by the hospitality, the excellent cooperation with the students of the Universidad de Málaga and delighted by the pleasant temperatures of southern Spain.
In addition to the European module abroad in Málaga, an additional week is spent with a partner university outside Europe during the four-semester, internationally oriented Executive MBA program.
The next program starts in March 2023. The application deadline is 15 January, 2023.
