*We recommend B2 as the entry level for HFU.Prep. If you have a solid B1 level and have ideally already attended at least one B2 course, you can also be accepted into the program without a B2 certificate.

If you need provisional admission (e.g. for a visa application) or have questions about the application process, please email us at  hfu.prep(at)

We look forward to hearing from you!

What happens after the application?

After 15 July (for a start in the winter semester) or 15 January (summer semester), you will receive your admission letter from the Student Services Department. With our support, you can then enrol at HFU and start your preparatory semester with the intensive language course.

As long as places are still available, we accept applications for the winter semester up to and including August and for the summer semester up to and including February.
