Data is the treasure of our time. Many companies still don't really know how to collect and utilize this valuable asset... and that's where you are needed as a business IT specialist! In this new degree programme, you'll learn how to manage big data, improve business processes and use AI to make ideal decisions for companies.

Do what you feel like
In the first three semesters, we take care of business information systems basics. Then you're off to your practical semester - where you can apply your knowledge straight away. By then, you'll probably have found an area that particularly interests you. You can put together your own course content with our electives (WPVs).

What are the admission requirements?
A university entrance qualification is required (e.g., high school diploma, technical college entrance qualification). The language of instruction is German.
What language is used for teaching?
Courses are held in German. English elective modules or study abroad are possible.
What is typical course content?
Content includes, for example:
- Managing big data, improving business processes and making decisions using artificial intelligence
- Technical and business fundamentals: databases, software engineering, business intelligence, logistics, etc.
Is there a practical component to the programme?
Yes—for example, an internship semester in a company (in the 4th semester) as well as software and business projects.
What about support and equipment?
The university offers bridging courses before the start of the programme, tutoring by experienced students, equipment rental options, and personal support from assistants and professors with practical experience.
What are the career opportunities?
Due to the considerable importance of digital business processes and business models, graduates are in demand — e.g., in e-commerce, app development, and business process optimisation.
Can I earn money or work while studying?
Yes — many students have working student jobs or tutoring jobs during their studies.
Is there an opportunity to specialise?
After completing the fundamentals (in the first semesters), students can choose to specialise by taking elective courses, undertaking individual projects, or completing internships.
Is it possible to study abroad?
Yes, there are many opportunities to spend a semester abroad or participate in international activities/internships.
