Development of a new guide sleeve for use in medical technology
Guide sleeves used in the production of medical technology products must meet high requirements with regard to mechanical characteristics, precision and heat resistance, and must not cause contamination of the materials being processed. The tribiological behaviour of the guide sleeve is also particularly important.
In this project the surface of guide sleeves will be covered with a chemically inert, nanoporous coating by means of a precipitation process, which prevents the diffusion of unwanted elements in the raw material and creates a thermomechanically resiliant surface.
