Proof of language proficiency: German and English

Language proficiency requirements for bachelor's programmes

For our German-speaking bachelor's programmes, language proficiency at Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEF) C1 level is required.

We accept the following proof of language proficiency in German:

  • German Language Examination for University Entrance (Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang - DSH) (minimum total grade DSH-2)
  • Test of German as a foreign language: TestDaF (Deutsch als Fremdsprache: TestDaF) (minimum average grade TDN 4)
  • German part of the assessment examination of the Centre for International Students (Prüfungsteil „Deutsch“ der Feststellungsprüfung an Studienkollegs)
  • Level 2 of the German Language Diploma of the Standing Conference of Ministers of Education (deutsche Sprachdiplom der Kultusministerkonferenz – zweite Stufe - DSD II)
  • Central advanced level examination of the Goethe Institute (Zentrale Oberstufensprüfung des Goethe-Instituts - ZOP)
  • German language diploma of the Goethe Institute- level 1 (Kleines Deutsches Sprachdiplom des Goethe Instituts - KDS)
  • German language diploma of the Goethe Institute - level 2 (Großes Deutsches Sprachdiplom des Goethe Instituts - GDS)
  • Goethe Certificate C2 (Goethe-Zertifikat C2 - Großes Deutsches Sprachdiplom - GDS)
  • "Pass" in telc German C1 University Examination (Bestandene Prüfung telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule Prüfung)
