What we offer
For girls - Can colour carry electricity?
The Faculty of Business Administration and Engineering invites you to paint electrical circuits instead of soldering them!
Find out if paint can conduct electricity! With electrically conductive paint, a few simple electrical components, paper and wood, you can build your own night light. As soon as it gets dark, the light comes on automatically.
For girls - "Wake up the ClicBot brain"
The Faculty of Computer Science presents the ClicBot workshops - your ultimate robotics experience!
ClicBots are small, modular educational robots that can see, feel, hear, think and communicate with their environment. Bring your ClicBot to life and build your own characters: whether humanoid, with wheels or even a robot dog. The possibilities are almost endless.
With the accompanying graphics-based app, you can teach it all kinds of things. No matter how you train your ClicBot, it is the coolest robot you can imagine. There are (almost) no limits to your creativity!
Programme:
9.00 - 9.30am: Welcome and information, snacks and drinks
9.30 - 12.00 noon: Workshop: "Wake up the ClicBot brain"
12.00 - approx. 12.30pm: Closing round
For girls - A look behind the scenes (of ChatGPT)
The Faculty of Business Information Systems takes you behind the scenes of text-based language models such as ChatGPT
Going swimming or planning a bike tour? We create our perfect vacation weather.
Using a learning environment, we show how these models work and how they can be used to create the perfect vacation weather, for example. It's a great opportunity to learn more about the technology behind these models and see them in action.
We look forward to receiving your registration!
For boys - Experience AI in 3 lessons
We dive into the fascinating world of media informatics!
We discover how artificial intelligence can inspire our creative side and how diverse its applications are in art and the visual field. Using example applications, we will use AI in the creative environment as well as in machine vision.
Together we'll discuss how AI could have both positive and negative effects on our society.
Bring your ideas and let your creativity run wild in this exciting workshop!
Important: You must be at least 11 years old to take part in this event.
What we offer
General Programme of the Faculty of Industrial Technologies
For girls: Digital Cube - Solder your own cube
In the "Digital Cube" soldering workshop, you will immerse yourself in the fascinating world of electronics. While circuit boards, resistors and diodes are skillfully combined, an electronic cube with a digital display is created. After the workshop, you can use your own electronic cube at home and discover unique gaming adventures in new dimensions!
For girls: VR Design - design a room together in virtual reality
For girls: Cyber Lady - by programming
Can't keep your hands off the keyboard or your smartphone? Do you love technical innovations and social media platforms? There's a lot of programming behind all this. And it's not difficult at all – just give it a try! You create fun images with your programmes and take them and the programming code home with you.
For girls: create your own optical illusions and exciting physics phenomena
For girls: Design Thinking - How is an innovative product created?
Our workshop will give you a playful insight into how innovative products are created with the help of the design thinking process. To do this, we'll play through the development process with you, from identifying and analysing the problem to finding solutions and creating an initial prototype based on an everyday problem.
