The programme variants enable a good match by taking their interests and capabilities of both the trainees and the companies into consideration. Standard durations planned are 4, 5, 6 or 7 semesters. As a result practical phases with a total of 40, 50, 60 or 70 weeks will be held in companies Entry to the programme is therefore already possible in the 1st semester, but this can also take place in the 2nd, 3rd or at latest in the 4th semester. In exceptional cases a duration of 8 semesters with an 80-week practical period can be agreed – an additional internship semester is then also completed.
In all programme variants the trainees carry out an internship semester (usually in the 4th or 5th semester) and their thesis work (usually in the 7th semester) in the company. In addition they work during a part of the semester holidays actively on current company projects, thus gaining further valuable practical experience.
