Business Information Systems, Furtwangen - study success
OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES
The first business information courses were offered in Furtwangen in 1971. Currently we are offering bachelor's programmes in Business Information Systems and Business Networking eBusiness and master's programmes in Business Application Architectures and Business Consulting. Our courses remain at the leading edge with an up-to-the-minute curriculum.
Right from the start our courses have a practical orientation and are not only theoretical. Teaching is in small groups with the professors using communicative methods. Half of the programme is spent working in close contact with companies: this includes practicals, workshops, project work, practical study semesters, thesis work and part-time work. The maximum number of students on the programmes is 45.
Our core competences lie in the areas of logistics, eBusiness, controlling, software development of business applications, construction of high performance information systems, networks, teamwork and moderation. Our graduates find top jobs. In graduate surveys we will continue to achieve good evaluations in breadth, topicality and comprehensiveness of course content.
Internship semesters prepare our students for their working life. All professors have real-life experience and provide students with a good understanding of current know-how. Students receive gain a solid basis for lifelong learning.
Our students hail from over 20 different countries. We are happy for them to take the opportunity to study at one of our many partner universities abroad. We make it possible for all of our students to study abroad for one semester. Ten percent of our lectures are held in English. Our degrees are internationally recognized.
