"Back movement" – just a few minutes every day will help!
After a hard day at work, we would like to invite you to a posture and back pain course.
The aim is to improve posture with movement to minimize unilateral stress. This reduces the muscular imbalance caused at work and is relaxing.
The course includes elements from physiotherapy (posture and back exercises, breathing and relaxation exercises) and simple exercises from yoga and shiatsu for general fitness. Through specific movements all joints are mobilized, body awareness is improved and at the same time balance and coordination are practised.
The training activates the metabolism, muscles and the spinal column, and is also lots of fun.
Location: Sports room in the Maria Goretti Kindergarten, Lindenstraße 1, Furtwangen (back stairs, 1st floor)

Spinning is a very effective form of training which improves your physical endurance and burns fat. Everyone can take part in a spinning course, whether you only sit on a bike once in a while or you take your cycling very seriously, because the resistance is set by the person training themselves. So the physical stress can be customized to your own abilities. The workout is planned by the trainer who decides which "route" will be taken (uphill, downhill or flat). The effectiveness of the training can be monitored with a pulse measurement system (PolarSystem), ordered from the fitness studio.
In winter, a cross-country skiing group started by Prof. Robert Schäflein-Armbruster (Faculty of Business Administration and Engineering - WING) skis on the floodlit trail of the Rothaus Trail Centre. All cross-country ski enthusiasts are welcome, both classic cross-country and skating. Michael Schlageter, an experienced cross-country skiing trainer, accompanies the skiers throughout the winter.
Depending on the snow conditions, the group sets off on Wednesdays at 7.15pm from the parking lot of the Rothaus Trail Centre on the Weißenbacher Höhe. Meeting point is the ski hut beside the shooting range. For ride-sharing, the meeting point is the parking lot behind G Building in Baumannstraße 38, Furtwangen at 7.00pm.

A short "active" break in your everyday work
A customized exercise programme has been developed for our Tuttlingen Campus. Once or twice a week in the lunch break, a member of the HFU staff will run an "active break" course. Staff will be trained to take the class by Tanja Schick a qualified sports scientist. Why not become a trainer too and motivate your colleagues to move? Place and time to be advised.
