Smart Optics

to the research projects

MOEMS-based, smart optical systems

MOEMS are complex, miniaturized systems with optical, mechnical and electronic functions. To produce them, various microengineering processes are combined. MOEMS have enormous potential for optical applications which go far beyond standard lense-based optics. This research project examines these possibilities as examples of a laser projection system which uses imaging techniques. In addition relevant MOEMS designs will be tested for a high quality optical filter in the medium infrared range.
