Students present their semester projects on Computer Science Day
Digital influencer wins award from M&M Software
On Computer Science Day at Furtwangen University, computer science students presented their technically challenging semester projects. From a service robot in the town hall and a web application for recognising Lego bricks, to a digital twin of an R2D2 model, the teams showcased an impressive range of projects. The jury praised the exceptionally high standard of the submissions and had the difficult task of selecting the best project.
The top spot went to the team behind “Elias Lev,” a digital influencer who uses AI-generated content on Instagram to appeal to young, digitally savvy target groups. State-of-the-art tools such as Ollama 3 and Fooocus enable the fully automated creation of texts and images that address topics such as mindset, productivity, and time management. The successful combination of technological progress and current zeitgeist impressed both the jury and the audience alike.
Computer Science Day impressively underscored the commitment and expertise with which HFU students realise their projects thus setting trends for the future.
