University Careers Fair

The biannual University Careers Fair (Hochschulkontaktbörse) on the Furtwangen Campus offers students and graduates the opportunity to network with company recruiters. HR representatives from industry, the trades, commerce and services are on hand to discuss employment and internship opportunities, and topics for Bachelor's and Master's theses.

The event on Wednesday, 6 May 2020 has unfortunately been cancelled.

Next date: Wednesday, 4 November 2020 - registration for this event will be announced in due course.

From 8.00am: set up of company stands
The set up of the company stands is also possible between 1.30pm and 7.00pm on the previous day, upon arrangement.
9:30: event begins

Altered lecture times
Lecture times for students on the Furtwangen Campus are altered as follows to allow time to visit the event:

  • Faculties of Mechanical and Medical Engineering, Business Information Systems and Health, Safety, Society: 9.00am - 11.15am
  • Faculties of Digital Media, Computer Science and Business Administration and Engineering: 11.00am - 12.45pm

Students' lunch break: 1.00pm to 2.00pm

2.30pm: official end of event
2.30pm: dismantling of company stands
Dismantling of the company stands should be completed by 6.00pm.


Students will be assigned to provide hot and cold drinks and catering on your stand. This will be served at the following times:
8.30am – 9.10am: hot and cold drinks service with pretzels and sweet pastries
11.45am – 12.30pm: lunchtime buffet on the stand
1.00pm – 1.30pm: hot and cold drinks service with doughnuts/biscuits
You can also be served personally on your stand, upon request. Additionally you have the option of eating in the University dining hall. Food tokens will be provided by the students assigned to your stand.

Recommended times for the dining hall:
11.30am – 12.10pm
1.10pm – 1.30pm
Dining Hall service ends at 1.30pm. A room on the upper floor of the dining hall is reserved for the exhibitors.
