Programme content and structure
The first semester provides you with in-depth knowledge of the design and staging of multimodal human-machine interaction in prototypical, experimental applications. Taking into account information perception and information processing by humans.
In the second semester, you will successfully apply the skills you've acquired in your research and design project, as well as in the interaction design workshops and in game design. You will classify the results achieved in a scientifically and economically reflective manner.
In the thesis semester, you'll work independently on a design-related question on the topic of interactive media. The individual supervision offered by the faculty's lecturers ensures that you successfully complete your thesis and can then give yourself the title, Master of Arts.

More information in our admission regulations.
If you are a graduate of a university degree programme or come from abroad and only have 180 ECTS points from your first degree, HFU will offer you a supplementary/transitional course.
If you have not yet received your degree certificate, please apply with a current transcript of records containing a provisional overall grade. You can usually obtain a current transcript of records from your university's examination office. Certified copies of your final degree certificate and your university entrance qualification (Abitur or similar) must be submitted at the latest when you enrol.
