Special features

Tuition fees for the Medical Devices & Healthcare Management MBA amount to €18,000. This sum is payable in four semi-annual installments. Study materials are included. Additional costs are incurred for travel, accommodation and living expenses.
Practical relevance through co-operation with industry
An important task of the university and anchored in the HFU mission statement is the link with companies in the region. The content of the degree programme directly addresses the needs of medical technology companies in the region. The location of the degree programme in Tuttlingen ensures close links with local medical technology companies. Company visits and practical presentations further underpin this co-operation with industry.
Internationality
The entire degree programme is offered in English and is therefore also open to international students without sufficient knowledge of German. In view of the shortage of skilled labour, this is also highly relevant in the medical technology sector.
Continuing education and lifelong learning
Thanks to its design as a part-time Master's programme, the course enables students to gain an additional qualification without having to interrupt their own career.
Social responsibility
Products and services for medical care are becoming increasingly important in an ageing society. The degree programme trains students who work in these areas and want to develop their skills. Therefore it directly addresses the social dimension of the idea of Sustainable Development.
Collaborations
The "Medical Devices and Healthcare Management" MBA programme is offered as an external programme as part of a cooperation between Furtwangen University (HFU) and the International Business School Tuttlingen (IBST).
This collaboration is based on a written partnership agreement from 2011. While IBST organises and conducts the programme, HFU awards the academic degree as part of the external programme. The specific conditions of the programme are governed by the currently valid version of HFU’s external examination regulations for master’s programmes in the Faculty of Business.
