- Applicable Knowledge in IT, AI and Business Management Professors with extensive industry and management experience impart up-to-date knowledge to students using AI and data science in case studies, IT and business projects. They optimise business processes, develop models and manage projects in the digital age.

- Hybrid lecture format for flexible mobility The lectures take place online and in face-to-face phases. A perfect choice for students who work part-time or have a part-time job. The lectures take place in Freiburg and/or Furtwangen - in the south of Germany, in close proximity to France and Switzerland.
- International Teaching is delivered in English. Our programme is designed for students from around the world. This allows students to build a global network during their studies.
The study program consists of ten Compulsory courses and two Elective courses usually absolved in two semesters (one year). The curriculum of courses (modules) and the content of lectures is well composed as the modules complete each other and address the demand of the industry.
The Elective courses can be chosen according to the individual preferences and interests of each student from the following list of modules: Business Strategy, Data Science & AI Application Business Project, Explainable AI (XAI) & Model Analysis, Image Processing & Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Process Mining and Robotic Process Automation, eShop Design & Web Technologies.
The third semester is dedicated to a Master thesis. The thesis can be conducted for example in cooperation with a company based on a given IT- or business case or as a part of a research-project conducted at the Furtwangen University. The study program is taught 100% in English. The standard period of study is three semesters. Lectures of the summer semester start mid of March and finish in June. Lectures of the winter semester start in October and finish in January.

•Undergraduate degree (Bachelor or equivalent) in the field of computer science, economics, business management, engineering, mathematics or natural sciences for example - with at least 210 ECTS credits.
•One year of relevant professional experience (minimum one year working on a job).
•University entrance qualification to study at German universities (such as IB Diploma, GCE, Matura, Abitur etc.)
•English language proficiency on B2 level at least. Accepted language tests include for example Cambridge, TOEFL, IELTS and Duolingo. Native English speakers no not need to provide a test of course. English language proficiency can be also proven by a certificate of prior successfully absolved study program in English language of tuition.
Blended Learning – Online and in presence
We teach online with focused on-site session. In total ca. 40 lecture days are given in presence face-to-face in Freiburg and/or Furtwangen. This means 3-times one week per semester; In total six (6) weeks of on-site sessions during the first academic year. Students gain both advantages: The flexibility of online learning combined with the benefits of face-to-face classroom teaching. Most of the exams are conducted in supervised presence and some in form of assignments for homework.

The hybrid form of lectures supports our students’ flexibility and mobility to take working student jobs and continue studies at the place where a company or project is located. Furtwangen University organizes two times per year a job-fair with more than 90 companies. Companies value our graduates as they can quickly make themselves useful with their diverse scope of applicable knowledge. More than 85% of our international graduates continue their career in Germany - based on a legal permission to stay and work in Germany.
