Training Lab

Learning, training and performance diagnostics

The Training Lab offers a fully equipped area for training therapy and is used for courses involving active therapy and evidence-based training dosing. It serves to teach the practical application of evidence-based measurement systems for objectifying therapy progress, analysing and optimising movement patterns and performance. This includes video analysis, strength measurement, aerobic performance testing and electromyography. The new lab offers students an optimal environment for conducting empirical theses.

Purpose of lab
  • Teaching
  • Research for thesis projects
Facilities & Equipment
  • Medical training therapy: endurance equipment, medical training equipment, free weights area/functional training
  • Video analysis, video feedback
  • Electromyography
  • Strength measurement
Projects
  • Does the menstrual cycle have a significant impact on performance in a strength test for female handball players? An experimental pilot study.
  • Does the menstrual cycle have a significant impact on ground reaction time performance in the counter movement jump? An experimental pilot study.
  • Do subjects with a history of lower extremity injuries differ from healthy subjects in the reactivity index during the drop jump? An experimental pilot study.
