Making the invisible visible and controlling and optimising highly complex processes with light − optical systems play a decisive role in modern science and technology and contribute to the innovation and improvement of numerous technical applications and everyday products.

The HFU optics laboratory offers extensive opportunities for designing and testing optical systems in measurement technology and thus provides an ideal environment for the practical application and consolidation of theoretical knowledge.

  • Semiconductor laser, fiber-coupled and free beam, in the red spectral range
  • Highly sensitive CMOS camera for the visible and near-infrared spectral range
  • Optical power measurement in the visible spectral range
  • Optical and optomechanical standard components for the realization of laboratory setups
  • PC system for system control and data acquisition
