Innovative camera platform for dental and medical sectors
As part of the “Black Pearl 3” project, a universally applicable and modular camera platform with a high image resolution and refresh rate is being developed for use in the dental and medical sectors. The technical features and the resulting areas of application of the new system differ considerably from the current state of the art. The main innovative features are the hardware platform with a multiprocessor concept and extensive algorithmic approaches, which enable a significant improvement in image sharpness and image dynamics for the practitioner in the medical and dental context. In addition, methods and algorithms are being developed for improving image sharpness and image dynamics in the context of an embedded camera system.
