- Since 2004: represented “Applied Signal Processing & Embedded Systems” research area in the “Smart Systems” research focus at the faculty
established Signal Processing Research Group (ReSP) laboratory
set up a working group focusing on applied signal processing and embedded systems in smart systems - Professorship at the HFU
Dean of Studies: “Electronics and Technical Computer Science” degree programme - 2002: took over as acting chair for Prof. Wittneben and established a working group in the field of powerline communication.
- Doctoral studies at Saarland University under Prof. Wittneben (ETH) - focus on development of communication methods in energy supply networks
