  • Since 2004: represented “Applied Signal Processing & Embedded Systems” research area in the “Smart Systems” research focus at the faculty
    established Signal Processing Research Group (ReSP) laboratory
    set up a working group focusing on applied signal processing and embedded systems in smart systems
  • Professorship at the HFU
    Dean of Studies: “Electronics and Technical Computer Science” degree programme
  • 2002: took over as acting chair for Prof. Wittneben and established a working group in the field of powerline communication.
  • Doctoral studies at Saarland University under Prof. Wittneben (ETH) - focus on development of communication methods in energy supply networks
  • Studied general electrical engineering at Saarland University
  • Studied electrical engineering at the HTW Saarland University of Applied Sciences
  • Completed two vocational training programmes
