Meeting between IDACUS and IIT Ropar opens up new prospects for cooperation
On 30 July, 2025, Manav Madan, research assistant at the Institute for Data Science, Cloud Computing, and IT Security (IDACUS) at Furtwangen University, presented the institute's work and current projects in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity at a meeting at the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar (IIT Ropar, Punjab, India). Dr. Radhika Trikha, Saurabh Arora, Dr. Shreya Sharma, Aditya Madan, and Vardhman Jain participated on behalf of iHub – AWaDH (Agriculture and Water Technology Development Hub) at IIT Ropar.
Mr Madan had traveled to the meeting at the invitation of AWaDH. The centre is an Indian technology and innovation hub with a special focus on agricultural and water technologies. It attaches great importance to industrial cooperation and develops practice-oriented solutions for sustainable agriculture and efficient resource use. IIT Ropar is one of India's leading technical universities.
The discussions opened up a wide range of cooperation opportunities in the fields of AI, agriculture, and precision farming. Among other things, an application for the IGSTC workshop call and a more intensive knowledge transfer between the HFU's StartUPcampus and the IIT Ropar's innovation program were discussed.
