Student projects presented at the “Raw Talent” booth
The “Raw Talent” exhibition at gamescom 2025 gave young talent a platform to showcase their work for the first time and to present it to an international audience. Eleven German state universities, including Furtwangen University, jointly organised an indie booth where around 160 students in 50 university teams from Germany and Austria presented their self-developed games.
Unlike previous presentation opportunities, the new booth offered greater visibility and proximity to the community – an important step in promoting young talent, according to Prof. Dr. Greta Hoffmann, organiser and initiator of the Cologne Game Lab at TH Köln.
Furtwangen University was also part of this innovative initiative, enabling numerous students to present their own games to a large audience at gamescom. Students from the Internal link opens in the same window:Games & Immersive Media programme were particularly well represented. In addition, the “Motivationline” research and development project was presented at the booth.
