Students celebrate graduation together
Students from three semesters celebrated their graduation together on the Tuttlingen campus of Furtwangen University (HFU). 68 graduates out of a total of 168 took part in the event. Those in attendance were graduates of the bachelor's degree programmes in Internal link opens in the same window:Medical Engineering - Technologies and Development Processes, Internal link opens in the same window:Mechatronics and Digital Production, Internal link opens in the same window:Engineering Psychology and Materials and Production Engineering. Graduates of the master's degree courses in Internal link opens in the same window:Medical Engineering - Regulatory Affairs, Internal link opens in the same window:Human Factors, Internal link opens in the same window:Mechatronic Systems and Internal link opens in the same window:Applied Materials Science were also present.
The awards ceremony for the Dr. Winkler Foundation for the Promotion of Young Talent also took place during the event. Dr. Dipl.-Ing. Hans-Henning Winkler presented cash prizes to students for the best undergraduate course, the best degree and the best project work. Kreissparkasse Tuttlingen supported the event with a donation of €250.
"On the Tuttlingen campus, we work very closely with local industry. We therefore offer our students an ideal springboard for their careers. I wish the graduates all the best and look forward to seeing where their careers will take them," said Dr. Alexandra Bormann, President of HFU, in her opening speech. Prof. Dr. Ulrich Kallmann, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering & Technology, added, “I wish our graduates every success for their private and professional future and would be delighted to welcome you back to HFU for a master's degree or professional development training.”
Dr. Winkler Foundation for the Promotion of Young Talent prize-winners
Josef Simon Schnell was awarded €500 for the best undergraduate degree in Mechatronics and Digital Production with a grade of 1.01 and the best bachelor's degree in Tuttlingen. Stefan Prinz was awarded €250 for the best undergraduate degree in the Medical Engineering - Technologies & Development Processes course with a grade of 1.04 and the best project work. Marie Güntert achieved a grade of 1.27 in the Engineering Psychology degree programme and was awarded €250. Melina Blum was honoured for the best project work from 2024 in the bachelor's degree programme in Materials and Production Engineering. She achieved a grade of 1.51 and received €250 for her work. Sophia Maria Saat studied Human Factors and graduated with a grade of 1.07. She thus achieved the best master's degree in Tuttlingen and received prize money of €500. Lilli Stoffels completed her degree in Applied Materials Science with a grade of 1.1 and received €250. Hearty congratulations to all prize-winners!
