HFU President Dr. Alexandra Bormann in conversation with companies that took part in the very well-attended university careers fair in Furtwangen

Successful University Careers Fair at Furtwangen University

At the “Hochschulkontaktbörse”, the Careers Fair at Furtwangen University (HFU), high-ranking companies once again presented themselves at the Furtwangen Campus. From IT to occupational safety, from medical to production technology − twice a year, enthusiastic students meet around 70 exhibiting companies from all over Germany at the “HKB”. Students looking for internships, thesis topics or even career prospects after their studies use the opportunity for a lively exchange and to make contacts. Food trucks provide tasty refreshments.

“At HFU, we attach particular importance to close and multifaceted cooperation with companies, and this begins for our students very early on in their studies,” emphasises HFU President Dr Alexandra Bormann, who, like the students, enthusiastically pushed her way through the hustle and bustle. While two students at the stand behind the President say to each other − “They're really nice, I think I'd like to write my thesis with them!”, a group next door finds out about internships and is amazed at what is possible within this framework. A master's student says as she pockets a business card, “I've already made some good contacts today, and there were some great job offers here!” “Being able to meet such a variety of well-known companies directly on campus is very special,” enthuses Bormann.
