Games & Immersive Media students invite you to a show of their work

There will be plenty to try out at the first “PLAYGROUND” at Furtwangen University (HFU) on Friday, 11 April. Students from the “Games & Immersive Media” (GMB) degree programme invite you to become game testers. They will be presenting a wide range of projects that have been developed on the course, including board and computer games, sound installations and escape rooms, which can of course be tested extensively. Other interactive experiences from other degree programmes are also on offer. The “PLAYGROUND” will take place from 1.00 to 5.00pm in M Building at HFU (Hafnergässle 3, 78120 Furtwangen).

In addition, the virtual reality (VR) system “Yullube Go” can be tried out in I Building (Unterallmendstraße 21, 78120 Furtwangen) from 2.00pm to 7.00pm. You can also play “Pong” against each other in virtual reality. An immersive sound dome will be opened at 5.00pm. In this installation, 32 loudspeakers will play an interactive 3D audio project by students and various 3D audio demos that can be experienced in the room. “I am looking forward to the opportunity to show the public what is being created in Games & Immersive Media,” says Prof. Jirka Dell'Oro-Friedl, Dean of Studies at GMB.

Interested and curious people of all ages are welcome to attend the free event.
