Studium Generale lecture on the circular economy at Furtwangen University

What does the Black Forest have in common with an economic cycle? This question will be answered in the next lecture in the Studium Generale series at Furtwangen University (HFU). The lecture will take place on Wednesday, 2 April at 6pm on the Schwenningen campus in the E building (Jakob-Kienzle-Str. 17) in Room 0.02.

Laura Scherer, founder and owner of Circu:Culture, will talk about: “Roots of responsibility: Circular economy explained using examples from the Black Forest”. The circular economy is an economic model that aims to use resources efficiently, minimise waste and keep materials in a closed loop for as long as possible. Laura Scherer will shed light on the relevance of circular economy models and explain the ecological, economic and social benefits with examples from the Black Forest. All those interested are welcome to attend the free lecture. Advance registration is not required.

The Studium Generale series offers academic lectures on current and socially relevant topics. Experts from a wide range of disciplines present their findings, then discuss them with the audience.
