Die Innovations- und Transferpartnerschaft der Hochschule Furtwangen
Die Hochschule Furtwangen ist eine von nur zehn Hochschulen in Deutschland, die eine Förderung im Rahmen des Förderprogramms „Starke Fachhochschulen – Impuls für die Region“ des Bundesministeriums für Bildung und Forschung erhalten hat.
Mit dem Projekt CoHMed wird die Medizintechnik-Forschung innerhalb von neun Jahren mit rund 11 Millionen Euro gefördert. Ziel ist es, die regionalen Unternehmen bei der Entwicklung zukunftsfähiger Produkte zu unterstützen und den Forschungs- und Wissenschaftsstandort Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg zu stärken.

Mission
CoHMed setzt Impulse für die aktuelle Medizintechnikforschung und Entwicklung innovativer Produkte. Darüber hinaus werden regionale Kompetenzen der Hochschule Furtwangen und der Industrie im Rahmen von gemeinsamen Forschungsprojekten vernetzt. Insbesondere sollen neben Großunternehmen auch KMU enger in die Forschung mit eingebunden werden.
Vision
Gesundheit betrifft alle. Medizinischer Fortschritt basiert auf hochinnovativer Medizintechnik. CoHMed stärkt die Innovationsfähigkeit durch Wissenstransfer und unterstützt die regionalen Unternehmen bei ihren Forschungs-, Entwicklungs- und Innovations-Aufgaben.
Nutzen
Die Forschungsprojekte von CoHMed tragen maßgeblich dazu bei den Wirtschafts- und Forschungsstandort Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg zu stärken und das Patientenwohl mithilfe schonenderer Operationen, verbesserter Instrumente und Implantate sowie durch die Unterstützung der Therapeuten mittels umfassender Datenauswertungen zu verbessern.
