- 2002–2019: Design engineer, project manager, department head, and division manager in the areas of project management and production control at VOITH, a rail vehicle supplier
- 1996 - 2002: Development engineer in the automotive industry, including at AUDI AG in the steering division and at DaimlerChrysler AG in the series/pre-development division
- 1991 - 1996: Studied mechanical engineering, specializing in automotive engineering, at the University of Ulm
