New Board of Executives at Furtwangen University

Furtwangen University has a new Board of Executives. Dr. Alexandra Bormann has been President since March and Andrea Linke remains as the Head of Administration. The HFU Senate has elected Prof. Dr. Christoph Reich, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hans-Georg Enkler and Prof. Dr. Ulrike Salat as Vice-Presidents. The Vice-Presidents have been in office since April. The term of office is three years.

In addition to the President and Head of Administration, the Board of Executives also includes Vice-Presidents, who can be appointed at universities for special subject areas. These offices are linked to the person of the President − at HFU they became vacant when President Rolf Schofer retired after 18 years in office.

At the suggestion of President Bormann, the University Senate has elected three new members to the Executive team: Prof. Dr. Ulrike Salat, Professor at the Faculty of Medical and Life Sciences in Schwenningen, was elected Vice-President for Partnerships and Society. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hans-Georg Enkler, Professor at the Faculty of Business Administration and Engineering and Co-Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning, has been appointed Vice-President for Academics and Diversity.  Prof. Dr. Christoph Reich, who teaches in the Faculty of Computer Science and heads HFU's Cooperative Doctoral Programme, was also newly elected to the office of Vice-President. As Vice-President he will focus on research and sustainability.
