Dr. Isman Khazi successfully defends doctoral thesis taken in cooperation with the University of Freiburg
Dr. Mohammed Isman Khazi from the Institute of Microsystems Technology (iMST) successfully defended his doctoral thesis entitled „Electrochemical Deposition of Nanocrystalline Nickel-Cobalt Alloys using Bath Hydrodynamics“ at the University of Freiburg in mid-November.
In addition to his doctoral thesis, Mr. Khazi worked on numerous research projects in the field of microsystems technology. In addition to in situ quality assessment of grinding processes (External link opens in a new window:SensoGrind), Mr. Khazi used monocrystalline silicon in cutting processes for thin films. He researched a miniaturised sensor for the simple and direct detection of water quality. Isman Khazi has also worked to expand international research collaborations and worked on new sensors in the THz range together with a research group from the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin (Poland).
The examination committee consisting of Prof. Dr. Jürgen Wilde, Prof. Dr. Thomas Hanemann, Prof. Dr. Ulrich Mescheder and Prof. Dr. Bastian Rapp awarded the overall grade of 1.
We congratulate Mr. Khazi on this outstanding achievement!
