The Games Club at Furtwangen University invites you to the 56th Black Forest Games Days from 28 - 30 November
At the 56th Black Forest Game Days, settlements from Catan will once again be built in the auditorium of Furtwangen University (HFU), top hats and irons will be drawn from the hat, and murder cases will be solved in a million-dollar mansion. The HFU's Games Club invites players of all ages to join in on Friday, 28 November, starting at 5.00pm. Until Sunday, 30 November, at 6.00 pm, players can roll the dice, solve puzzles and win prizes. Games will be available almost around the clock. “With over 300 games, there's something for everyone. From all the classics like Monopoly, Risk, and Wizard to Eldritch Horror, Twilight Imperium, and Funkenschlag. So there's something for young and old, casual players, and even ‘hobby generals,’” reports Ralf Speer, the current head of the Games Club.
In collaboration with the Pen & Paper Club, you can experience shared adventures in role-playing games such as “Dungeons and Dragons.” In addition, the wolves howl in the traditional Werewolf Night, when the village awakens in a large group in “Werewolves of Miller's Hollow.”
The event is free of charge. “Everyone is welcome, just come by and don't worry if you're alone, there's always a nice group you can join. If you want to refuel in between, you can buy snacks, drinks, and even frozen pizzas on site and bake them in the pizza oven,” says Ralf Speer, who reveals, "One of my favourite games, by the way, is the Discworld game. As a fan of the novels, I particularly like it because, just like the books, it's chaotic, crazy, a little insane, but funny."
