Occupational health management at Furtwangen University

At Furtwangen University, the health of employees is a top priority. After an eventful year full of successful health initiatives (such as the inauguration of the new Breg Park), the Occupational Health Management (OHM) program kicked off the 2025/2026 winter semester with fresh ideas and a varied programme.

Under the slogan “Health as a joint task,” Furtwangen University is focusing on measures that sustainably strengthen the well-being, motivation, and cooperation of its employees. For example, HFU provides guidance on topics such as “Psychological safety in teams” and “Leadership in times of (major) change,” organises workshops on topics such as “Menopause in the workplace” and training courses on coping with high workloads and time management. In addition, employees were able to take advantage of the digital health days offered by health partner Techniker Krankenkasse in November.

Maximilian Federer, coordinator of occupational health management, is delighted with the range of topics, “Despite full calendars and heavy workloads, we are pleased to see so many participants taking advantage of our health offers. The best time for health is now.”
