New book by Prof. Dr. Andreas Fath
Prof. Dr. Andreas Fath, “HFU’s swimming professor,” has published a new book. His spectacular projects, which combine research, extreme sports, and academic communication, have made him internationally famous. Fath has already swum down the Rhine, the Tennessee River, the Danube, and the Elbe. The chemist and former German open water swimming champion has found his life's work in water, to which he is dedicated as a scientist and activist. In his new book, he recounts his first involuntary encounter with water and his adventurous research trips. He explains the consequences of microplastics and pollutants in water in an understandable way, thus capturing his love for a very special element: water. He is committed to keeping it clean and protecting the planet's most important resource.
The book “Aus Liebe zum Wasser” (For the Love of Water) was published in September by 8 grad verlag.
