Meeting of the Physiotherapy BW Competence Network
At the end of July, representatives of HFU, Gesundheitsschulen Südwest, Ulm University of Technology & ulmkolleg, and Heidelberg University met at the Freiburg Study Center to discuss the future of academic physiotherapy in Baden-Württemberg.
The focus was on key topics such as the vision and structure of the network, qualification goals in a European comparison, direct access to physiotherapy, and a possible cross-location master's programme. Working groups developed perspectives on competencies, curricula, and political framework conditions.
The aim of the network is to jointly strengthen academic physiotherapy in Baden-Württemberg, raise its profile, and actively shape research, teaching, and education policy.
The next meeting takes place in Ulm in December 2025.
