35th Safety Dialogue at Furtwangen University
On Tuesday, 17 June, Furtwangen University (HFU) will host a lecture on the topic of “Customs − Focus on Control” with a focus on occupational health and safety. Experts will provide fascinating insights into their areas of work at customs. Whether at sea, at airports, in laboratories or in covert operations − customs are active wherever illegal flows of goods, tax offences or threats to people and the environment occur. The areas of operation are as diverse as the risks − chemical, biological and physical hazards, stress, weapons handling and contact with animals are part of everyday life for many customs officers. Occupational health and safety is therefore firmly anchored in everyday working life. The event will provide an insight into how this is implemented in practice.
The lecture will take place in the auditorium at Furtwangen Campus as part of the “Furtwangen Security Dialogue” series of events, which the Internal link opens in the same window:Security & Safety Engineering degree programme is organising for the 35th time. In this series of events, experts from professional practice regularly give talks on relevant topics in the security industry.
