Games Club at Furtwangen University invites you to the 55th Black Forest Games Days from 9 - 11 May
From Friday, 9 May, discussions will once again be held in the auditorium of Furtwangen University (HFU) as to whether the “+4” can be placed on the “+2” card, hotels will be built on the Schlossallee and Scotland Yard suspects will be sought. The games club at HFU invites games fans of all ages to the 55th Black Forest Games Days. From Friday, 9 May at 4.00pm to Sunday, 11 May at 3.00pm over 300 board, dice and card games will once again be available for keen board game players in the university auditorium on the Furtwangen campus. Games can be played almost around the clock. “Thanks to the 'FreiSpiel' games café in Freiburg, our extensive collection will be supplemented with even more exciting games this semester,” says Erick Franz, student at HFU and current head of the games club.
This semester, there will also be a “Magic: The Gathering” tournament for the first time during the Games Days. “In this card game, two or more people compete against each other with their decks of cards and try to reduce their opponent to zero life points using spell, creature and artifact cards − it sounds more complicated than it is,” explains Erick Franz. In cooperation with the Pen & Paper Club, there will again be the opportunity to experience adventures together in the world of “Dungeons and Dragons”, for example.
The event is completely free. “If you want to eat something in between, you can buy snacks, drinks and even frozen pizzas on site, which can be baked in the pizza oven on site. It's also no problem if you come alone, there's always a group to join,” says Erick Franz.
