The first students of the HFU master's programme Medical Devices - Regulatory Affairs (MRA) have now graduated. This means that the part-time study programme is now firmly established at the HFU Tuttlingen campus. It is aimed at professionals in the medical technology sector and can be completed with a Master of Science, or in modules with individual university certificates (Certificates of Advanced Studies, CAS in shor).
In doing so, the university is offering a high-quality programme which meets the needs of regional and national companies. Sound knowledge in the field of product approval is increasingly becoming a decisive success factor in the medical technology sector. There is a high demand for specialists with the special professional profile of Regulatory Affairs managers or consultants largely due to the Medical Device Regulations (MDR).
The CAS 2 module “Medical Technology: Quality Management and Clinical Validation”, offered in Winter Semester 2025/26, is a great way to get started. Participants can either complete it independently with a CAS university certificate or use it to enter the complete MRA master's programme. The HFU model offers an intelligent mix of block sessons at the Tuttlingen campus and blended learning.
Furtwangen University is offering an online information evening for those interested in the Master's in Medical Technology - Regulatory Affairs on Monday, 26 May, starting at 6.00pm. Information about the study programme will be provided as well as the opportunity to get to know the teaching and other staff on the programme.
