School pupils from the Otto Hahn Gymnasium in Furtwangen attending HFU AI workshop
High school students learn how to use AI at HFU
On 16 January, Furtwangen University gave pupils from the Otto Hahn Gymnasium Furtwangen an exclusive insight into the world of artificial intelligence. The aim of the workshop was to provide young people with practical information on the correct use of AI tools.
Focus on the responsible use of AI
The event focused on the responsible use of AI tools, particularly in an academic context. The eleventh-graders not only learned about the basics of artificial intelligence, but also engaged in a critical and lively discussion about the opportunities and limitations of language models such as ChatGPT.
In addition to theoretical input, the students were also able to do practical exercises on AI text analysis and learned how to use artificial intelligence responsibly for their own text production.
Future-oriented educational cooperation
The successful cooperation between Furtwangen University and the Otto-Hahn-Gymnasium Furtwangen impressively demonstrates how AI skills can be taught to young people in a practical way. The successful event is part of HFU's ongoing educational outreach work.
