Students compete successfully in local volleyball tournaments
The 2024 sports year ended successfully for the students of the Tuttlingen Campus of Furtwangen University (HFU) − with a first and a fifth place, the budding engineers secured one of the coveted trophies at tournaments in December. Fourteen teams took part in the 'Mixed Teams' tournament organised by Turnverein 1848 Villingen in the Hoptbühlhalle. “We missed out on third place by only two points and managed to secure fifth place. At the internal HFU tournament in VS-Schwenningen, we dominated the competition and won first place,” explains trainer Dominik Brand.
HFU clubs offer leisure and sports activities
The university's General Student Committee (AStA) currently offers students sports and leisure activities through 32 HFU clubs. These include bouldering, soccer, participation in a band, dancing and drawing. The offers are available to all HFU students at the three university locations Furtwangen, Schwenningen and Tuttlingen.
